Black Jaguar Foundation
Black Jaguar Foundation enables international fundraising with Salesforce
Black Jaguar Foundation is a devoted member of the international Alliance of Araguaia-Corridor-Partners, headed by the Jaguar Conservation Fund in Brazil. The primary goal of the Black Jaguar Foundation is to help realize the Araguaia Nature Corridor – the earth’s longest biodiversity corridor at 2,600 km long and up to 40 km wide. The Araguaia Corridor will become one of South America’s largest reforestation projects.
“We chose the black jaguar (as a symbol) as its fate symbolizes the uncertain future of the Amazon Rainforest and the Cerrado Savanna in Central Brazil. The story of the Black Jaguar Foundation is a positive one; a running train on which contributors and corporations can jump on for the benefit of current and future generations. Instead of complaining and denouncing the criminal acts of irresponsible corporations and illegal loggers, or climbing in the trees to join the tree-huggers, we firmly believe we can and will make a positive and constructive contribution in aid of preserving our planet.
The work of the Black Jaguar Foundation touches the lives of all of us, as the ecosystems in the Corridor supply mankind 20% of the world’s oxygen – filter 30% of all sweet water and are the source of 25% of all modern medicines.” Ben Valks, Initiator, Black Jaguar Foundation.
International team, international tool
“Because our fundraisers are worldwide we needed a tool that could connect each of them with our partners, sponsors and donors wherever they are, and whenever they need to be connected. We have high ambitions and are passionate about our goals and therefore we wanted a true partner, a company that could commit to our core values. Salesforce shares our vision and it’s already clear that Salesforce.org is becoming a tremendous asset in helping us achieve our goals.
“As a tool we would recommend Salesforce to any Nonprofit. It’s reliable, fully customizable, and suits small organisations just as much as larger ones. We use the Chatter app for internal communications as well as to interact with our partners and most important of all we use Salesforce to help us raise the money we need. The support we are receiving from Salesforce.org is a truly helping us make our conservation dream become reality.
“The system implementation was handled by a Salesforce partner who’s unique method made it possible to implement a fully operational Salesforce solution within just five days.
The implementation included data migration of existing donors, training, and the production of various management reports.” Ben Valks, Initiator, Black Jaguar Foundation.
