The Salesforce Dublin Golf Classic Raises €37,000 for Children’s Charities

by James Leigh, International Marketing & Communications Coordinator
In May this year, Salesforce Dublin held their second annual company Golf Day in aid of Enable Ireland, The Jack and Jill Foundation and The Katie Nugent Foundation.
The event gained widespread support throughout the company and across our Partner network, which sponsored the event in all manner of ways. Including sponsoring the Golf balls, evening entertainment and the holes themselves.
We were joined on the day by Irish Golfing legend, Christy O’Connor Jr. who took part in a ‘Nearest the Pin’ competition on the 16th hole, and through five hours of play was beaten only once!
After a fantastic day’s Golf an Auction was held of items donated to the cause by our partners and staff alike, including a signed Guitar from the band Kasabian and a framed picture of Christy’s finest moment in the Ryder cup, 1989.
Once all the donations were in, counted and matched through the salesforce.com Matching Fund, the total raised was €37,000, making this the largest fundraiser held by salesforce.com in Ireland.
The salesforce.com Foundation wish to express their deepest thanks to our Partners, Staff and the Organising Committee for making this event such a huge success.
