Salesforce.org Working with Viridis Learning to Get Students Jobs

Salesforce.org is excited to start collaborating with Viridis Learning, a cloud-based, SaaS technology platform that has developed a proprietary Skill Passport™, which integrates with existing student information systems, government databases and labor market information to connect students to employers. Both organizations share a vision to help schools achieve better student outcomes, reduce student time-to-completion rates and improve students’ employment placement.
On June 6, 2017, Viridis Learning announced it has raised nearly $7.5 million to date through investments from Salesforce Ventures, Thayer Ventures and others. These new investments will further empower Viridis to achieve its mission of expanding economic mobility around the world, ending the global skills gap, and leading in 21st century workforce development.
The Viridis Learning solution addresses concerns of community college Chancellors to get students on the right path when it comes to securing employment after graduation. They are doing so by ensuring the knowledge and skills taught are those in greatest demand by employers. The Viridis solution also enables the community college leadership to report on its students unique post employment performance, which is what enables the colleges to meet their reporting requirements in order to get more funding.
Everyone needs to up their game when it comes to student success. When using Viridis Learning and Salesforce solutions together, advisors can manage student engagement, track conversation history, and use Salesforce Inbox to capture email exchanges. They can also use case management to help students persist to completion, get on a pathway that aligns their skills with career objectives, and find employment.
Salesforce.org and Viridis Learning are forming a Higher Ed Council for Workforce Development in conjunction with a number of community college chancellors, who were invited to be on the Council because they are innovative leaders looking for ways to make transformative change. The Council is a forum to share ideas on how to accomplish transformative change. The inaugural meeting will take place June 23 in San Francisco.
Together, Salesforce and Viridis Learning are excited to start working both together and with the Council to create even more robust solutions to help students get jobs.
