Salesforce.org Co-hosts First HEDA Community Workshop with Harvard University

By now, you’ve probably heard about Salesforce.org’s Higher Education Data Architecture, HEDA. We’re continuing to see incredible momentum and adoption of the data architecture since it’s launch. Last week, we started a new chapter with our community-driven innovation as the first HEDA Community Workshop, co-hosted by Harvard University, took place in Cambridge, Massachusetts. With over 70 customers and partners in attendance, the workshop offered an opportunity for the HEDA community to share best practices, develop new uses case documentation, and engage in facilitated working groups that will ultimately contribute to HEDA’s development.
As the foundation of the Connected Campus, HEDA is helping colleges and universities create a 360-degree view across the student lifecycle, accelerate time-to-value for new projects, innovate with confidence, extend with AppExchange apps, and harness community best practices. And it’s not just us saying this – the growing HEDA community speaks for itself with over 200 production orgs, 400 trailhead badges, and 900 Power of Us Hub members.
We’d like to thank the members of the community who participated in making this such a successful event. Corey Snow, Senior Business Systems Analyst at Harvard University, summed up the workshop nicely when he said, “what makes HEDA and the platform unique is the group of passionate promoters, creators, and sustainers that work in the ecosystem.” We’re beyond excited to continue working with the community to drive innovation across campus at future workshops like this – so stay tuned! If you’d like to join the HEDA conversation and stay up to date on all things HEDA, be sure to join the Power of Us Hub.
