Outbox Executives to Pitch 20+ Start-ups

The Outbox Incubator is fast approaching the midway mark and everyone is getting excited about the Demo Day, being held on the 15th of August, where Outbox Executives will get the opportunity to pitch their business ideas in front of leading industry professionals, angel investors and potential mentors.
Over the course of the day, more than 20 startups will present, with the youngest presenter at only 11 years old. Attendees on the day will get a first look at business ideas developed by some of Europe’s brightest young STEM women. Mentors will also have the opportunity pledge time and support to the girls on the programme.
After an hour of pitches, there will be plenty of time for networking and a chance to talk to the Outbox execs themselves.
With intensive training and workshop schedules aimed at getting the girls up to speed on how to develop and run a startup – the last couple of weeks has been a great influence on participants; seeing them blossom into confident entrepreneurs with competitive ideas ready to shake up the market.
Date: August 15th
Time: 10am – 2pm
Venue: Think Big Hub, 16 Hoxton Square, London
Outbox Incubator is a programme developed by Stemettes that aims to increase the number of girls actively involved in STEM. We’re on week 3 of this 6 week programme, that will have 110 young women, aged 11-22 from across Europe, gather at ‘the house’ in London to engage in a series of activities and workshops that will support and help grow their unique STEM based business ideas.
“The UK technology industry is facing a well-documented skills shortage, yet the number of women studying computer science at university is at an all-time low. This ground-breaking programme will make a real difference when it comes to encouraging girls to consider a career in technology—it is opening up a tangible career path they can aspire to. It’s so rewarding to be involved in mentoring these girls, I strongly encourage others to do so too.” Salesforce Area Vice President, Melissa Di Donato.
