Salesforce.org’s Spring ‘22 Release Helps Nonprofits Drive Growth & Impact with Data
With a new year comes a series of new challenges and opportunities for organizations everywhere. According to our recent Nonprofit Trends Report, implementing new technology tools and solutions, adapting to remote/virtual programs, and controlling expenses are top of mind for organizations of all sizes. Of those surveyed, 76% said they need to develop a data strategy for their organization while 79% expect to implement widespread usage of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the next three years.
Today, we’re thrilled to announce the new innovations in our spring ‘22 release — all aimed to help nonprofits meet these challenges by helping them drive growth and impact with data. In this release, we’re introducing a new Nonprofit Cloud offering to help nonprofits get started using core technology. This curated offering includes a new AI-based product — Einstein for Nonprofits — specifically designed for nonprofits to harness the power of AI. We’re also enhancing our solutions in marketing and engagement.

Ensuring Fundraisers Can Use Artificial Intelligence to Better Understand Donors
As part of the new offering, we’re introducing Einstein for Nonprofits to help organizations use AI in their fundraising efforts. Einstein for Nonprofits brings you the power of AI without the complexity, enabling any nonprofit to deliver smarter, personalized, and more predictive experiences with their communities. Einstein is built right into the Salesforce platform and automatically discovers relevant insights, predicts future outcomes, recommends next best steps, and even automates tasks — all without a data scientist.
This product includes three key out-of-the-box predictions, including the likelihood to become a recurring donor, the likelihood to become a first time donor, and the likelihood to become a top donor.
Increasing Marketing Investment ROI
Marketers are also looking to meet these challenges as increased demand continues for access to impact data and supporters wanting to receive information via a preferred digital channel. Creating donor journeys could be the key in making the transition to digital-first marketing. Data from our most recent state of marketing report backs this up, with nonprofit marketers saying that improving marketing ROI/attribution is their number one priority.
Our newest solution, Marketing Cloud for Nonprofits now includes Datorama reports, which can support digital-first marketing efforts. These reports help marketers analyze, visualize, and report on email, mobile, and journey data, all within Marketing Cloud. So now marketers can be even more data-driven when engaging with those that care about their mission.
