Nice to Meet You, I’m Your Member

Are you like me in that someone introduces themselves to you and not two seconds later you forget their name? That might be fine at a party but what about when you’re meeting a prospective donor? Or talking to a committed member?
At the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF), they set out on a mission to get to know their members — how much time do families or individuals spend in the center, and where and how do they engage? A San Francisco institution that has been around since the mid-late 1800s and the oldest JCC on the West Coast, they offer a number of programs and services including a fitness center, spa, preschool programs, aquatics, dance studio, theater, cafe and more. With over 5,000 unique visits to their facilities per day, that’s a lot of names to remember.
With the help of Traction on Demand, a Salesforce implementation partner and software development firm, they developed a complete system in which the JCCSF can manage membership, billing, operations, and fundraising in Salesforce.
Now able to scan and validate memberships, what’s more is that they have a complete view of every person that walks through its doors.
More Than Just a Fitness Center
While it was important for the JCC to welcome their fitness center members, the facilities offer so much more than that. A member could be anyone from a fitness center user to someone whose child participates in the aquatics program. The JCCSF also has many free offerings such as Saturdays Unplugged for families, daytime forums and performances and an art gallery that’s open to the public. With Salesforce, the JCCSF is able to capture all members, no matter what their interactions are or how much they pay.
Speaking of payments, Salesforce has transformed the way the JCCSF manages its membership services and operations. Its monthly billing is close to $1 million, a process that used to take 4-5 days to complete. Now with Salesforce it takes four hours.
Ultimately, the JCCSF is able to understand who their members are and what value they’re providing to the community. If you’re ready to get to know your members, join Salesforce, the JCCSF and Traction on Demand on June 28 at 11am PST/2pm EST to learn how.
