Marketing for Fundraising: Strategies for the New Year

By Salesforce.org January 25, 2017

Increased engagement and giving among constituents and donors is the dream of every nonprofit, right? But in a world of limited staff-time and resources, doing both of those things at once can be hard!

However, engagement and giving have one very important thing in common — effective communication. It’s what inspires people to action or convinces them to open up their wallets.

Join us for a live webinar on January 31st featuring Common Sense Media and Cloud for Good to find out how organizations are doing just that using Salesforce.

Common Sense Media (CSM) is a nonprofit organization that helps families navigate the ever-changing landscape of technology and media. With the help of implementation partner Cloud for Good, CSM leverages Salesforce’s Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Marketing Cloud, and Social Studio to plan and execute strategic marketing and fundraising campaigns.

For CSM it was important to remove department specific thinking around data and open up the whole organization to better collaborate across teams. In this webinar, CSM’s solo administrator will share how they plan to integrate Marketing Cloud and Social Studio with Salesforce so staff is less reactive when serving up content to constituents. By personalizing interactions with demographic and interest information, fundraising and marketing staff can personalize interactions to drive people to action — from sharing CSM’s articles, making a donation, attending an advocacy event, and everything in between. Which is more important than ever — as we found in the Connected Nonprofit Report, 24% percent of donors are more likely to give if the communication they receive is personalized to their interests.

As you plan for 2017, this webinar will give you the ideas and tools to combine marketing and fundraising efforts into a consolidated and coordinated plan.
