K-12 Education: Get Ready for #DF19!

By Kara Chiono and Omar Garriott, Salesforce K-12 Product Marketing
Dreamforce ain’t your everyday tech (or education! Or…edtech!) conference.
What it isn’t: Boring and irrelevant for attendees from the education sector.
What it has evolved into: An unparalleled learning opportunity for everyone who works in and around K-12 education.
Whether you want to nerd out on the latest product developments on the world’s #1 CRM platform, rock out for charity with chart-topping musicians, or share out best practices with innovators from education and beyond, amazing things happen from morning to night.
No matter where your school or district is in its tech journey, over a dozen breakout sessions just for K-12 (and many more of relevance from higher ed) ensure there’s something for everyone. You’ll also experience inspiring keynotes–including exciting product announcements from Salesforce’s K-12 team–as well as opportunities to give back and compare notes with youth-serving nonprofits and companies of all sizes. We couldn’t be more pumped to be planning a full and fulfilling four days for our K-12 attendees this November in San Francisco!
What Happens at Dreamforce for K-12
We’re building on our expanded presence at Dreamforce 2018. Last year, Salesforce.org welcomed its largest-ever community of K-12 trailblazers–administrators, staff, partners, advocates, and more. We shared why Salesforce is committed to K-12 education and launched Education Cloud for K-12 – a powerful set of solutions that help streamline critical activities that drive school and student success including Admissions & Enrollment, Family Engagement, and Fundraising & Grants Management.
We also announced our intent to build K-12 Kit – a new, custom K-12 education data architecture that makes it easy for schools and districts to get started with Education Cloud. This year, we’ll detail the latest on how this free tool helps K-12 schools and districts get true 360-degree views of student needs and outcomes, take collaborative actions, and better engage families. And you’ll be the first to hear where we – alongside our growing K-12 community – are headed!
Beyond getting a flavor for our K-12 vision and roadmap, you’ll also get hands-on product training, network with other thought leaders, and check out showcases from innovative schools and districts across the country–including Denver Public Schools and the San Diego County Office of Education, to name a few.
“Like impact? How about reach and scale? I sure do, and I’m focused on helping education achieve those things through data interoperability. Participating in Dreamforce last year was a giant boost to that work, both in support of Salesforce Education Cloud – which is aligned to the Ed-Fi Alliance K-12 data standard – and its capabilities for empowering school systems and learners, but also in the linkages with fellow Trailblazers and connecting like minded innovators across our community. Talk about the power of the platform!”
–Sean Casey, Strategic Partnerships Manager, Ed-Fi Alliance
We hope you’re as excited as we are! Stay tuned for more updates, including the top sessions we recommend for K-12, as we get closer to #DF19.
Last but not least, share that you’re going on Twitter with the hashtag: #DF19. See you there!
