Introducing the Salesforce.org Education Cloud

Marc Benioff was one of the cloud pioneers and Salesforce was one of the first cloud platforms. Benioff was among the people who saw its potential: to connect everything. To bring data together from disparate sources to give us a real-time view of our constituents. To use that data to predict issues before they become problems. To deliver every experience in a personalized way.

But first the cloud had to be tested – in every industry – none more so than higher education.

Luckily, there were the trailblazers: the early adopters who believed in the cloud and what it could do for higher education. We’re proud to say that Salesforce.org has been there, walking side-by-side with the community, throughout this journey. Not only have we worked to make sure every school is successful in their own transformation, but we’ve paved the way for all institutions by developing open-source standards, a common data architecture, robust solutions, and shared best practices.

Today, we’re taking the next step in deepening our dedication to this sector. I’m proud to announce that higher education will now have its very own cloud: Salesforce.org Education Cloud for Higher Ed.

Think of Education Cloud as an umbrella over the existing tools and solutions you use today. It’s a new way for us to talk about our complete set of solutions in recruiting and admissions, student success, advancement, as well as our products like HEDA, Salesforce Advisor Link, and our new gift processing capabilities in development.

This is an incredibly exciting milestone for us – one that we couldn’t have reached without the incredible community of higher education trailblazers. The Education Cloud is a commitment from us to you that we’re going to continue to innovate and invest in higher education today and tomorrow.
