Highlights of Advancement Connect’s New Release

By Pat McQueen May 14, 2015

Today Salesforce.org is excited to announce the availability of Advancement Connect’s Spring Release. Schools around the world are able to dramatically improve their fundraising by using Advancement Connect to engage major donors and increase alumni participation rates. Our latest release brings a wealth of new features to help our customers be more successful than ever before. Some of the highlights of the new release include:

  • Giving (Recognition) Societies – Automate the process of recognizing individuals and households via a rules engine and allow criteria to be defined based on any field on the Contact or Account record. Automating this process will save you time and reduce manual errors.
  • Matching Gift Improvements – Create multiple matching gift ratios for an organization, including integration with Relationships to link expected matching gift ratios with employees of matching organizations. A gift record is created for the employer’s matching gift and the employee’s giving record reflects the employer’s matching gift. If relationships did not exist between the employer and employee, they are automatically created, and each employee receives a soft credit on the employer-matching gift.
  • CASE Standards – Relate CASE Type and CASE Purpose when entering and updating a General Accounting Unit and relate CASE Donor Profile with the institution’s specific constituent types.
  • Batch Gift Entry UX Improvements – For organizations dealing with large numbers of gifts to be entered into the system, the Advancement Connect Batch Gift Entry tool streamlines the process. Quickly build a batch template, define the layout and security, and apply it to one or more batches for processing. Dynamic field displays and searching, combined with keyboard shortcuts, allow for processing many gifts on one screen without the use of your mouse. This will enable you to quickly enter a large number of gifts into Advancement Connect. The following screenshot displays the user experience when entering batch details:
