Four Reasons (in Four Minutes) Why You Need to Block Off December 13th for Salesforce World Tour NYC

If you were fortunate enough to join the Traction on Demand team and the 170,000+ Salesforce enthusiasts for Dreamforce ’18 in September, you’ll remember that feeling you had on the cab to the airport; yes definitely a little overwhelmed and your ears may have still be buzzing from Metallica, but you’ll remember the excitement and inspiration you felt, knowing you were returning to change your organization for the better.
If you weren’t able to join us at Dreamforce, fear not as Salesforce has kicked off their World Tour season, with one of the first stops in New York. Here are four reasons (in four minutes) why it’s worth it to join us. I know December can be a busy month, with many holiday parties to attend, but World Tour NYC is sure to be a fun time!
1. Connect with Like-Minded People & Organizations
World Tour stops are one of the best opportunities (outside of Dreamforce) to connect with like-minded individuals experiencing similar organizational challenges that you may be facing. Whether you take in a breakout session showcasing a solution already implemented, or you meet someone at lunch who’s attending for the exact same reason, people are always willing to share their experiences and journeys with technology.
Pro Tip: Lunch is always a great opportunity to meet new Salesforce enthusiasts; I’d recommend grabbing some food, breaking off from your colleagues and finding a random spot at a table in the Customer Success Expo. Introduce yourself and ask why others are attending — you may just have more in common than you would think.

2. Discover the Latest Platform Innovations
We’ve seen such amazing growth in the Salesforce platform over the last year for nonprofit organizations and education institutions. From the Nonprofit Cloud (and subsequent certification) to Education Cloud, to Customer 360 and Einstein Voice, New York World Tour will be your chance to hear from the experts, ask questions and feel the inspiration.
Pro Tip: Keynotes are great for inspiration; breakouts are best for real-world application of the platform. Be sure to review all breakout sessions on the NY World Tour website prior to the day and build a plan for which sessions you’re going to attend.
Pro Tip 2: I’d recommend exploring how some of the commercial customers are leveraging Salesforce. At Traction on Demand, our most unique and innovative solutions have always been composed of both industry best practices and cross-industry expertise.
3. Don’t Skip the Customer Success Expo
Traction on Demand maintains a strong focus on enabling our customers to manage their own technology stack. Reviewing the World Tour sponsors and Customer Success Expo participants, I’d highly recommend chatting with as many vendors as possible. A few I would highlight are Conga, Gearset, and GetFeedback.
