Dreamforce Survival Kit: T-Minus 3 Weeks

Three weeks. That’s right — three weeks until Dreamforce 2016, and the excitement is palpable.
Whether you’re a Dreamforce pro or a total newcomer, we’re back with another edition of the Dreamforce Survival Kit. We want to make sure that when it’s finally October 4th, you’re ready to dive headfirst into DF16.
You can find the past two weeks of Survival Kits here and here. Once you’re caught up, here’s the latest round of pro tips:
1. Become best friends with Agenda Builder.
We introduced you to Agenda Builder last week, but it’s such an important tool that it bears repeating. There are over 3000 sessions to choose from, and Agenda Builder can help you craft the perfect four days of content. For an introduction to the tool, check out this handy article: Dreamforce Agenda Builder.
We also released the first version of the Trailblazer’s Guidebook last week, so you can easily find all of the nonprofit, higher ed, and K-12 sessions. Next week we’ll be releasing the final version, with even more info about this year’s Salesforce.org activities and sessions.
2. Plan to spend some time volunteering in the Dreampark.
The Dreampark is the heart of Dreamforce. It’s where attendees go to participate in #DFGives activities, which in past years have included writing letters to veterans, assembling meal packs for the hungry, and donating books for children. This year, every day has a different theme. Tuesday is Education, Wednesday is Health, Thursday is Equality For All, and Friday is Compassion. So plan to spend some time in the Dreampark every day, and be sure to tag all of your DF volunteering on social with #DFGives.
3. Make time to attend the Second Annual Women’s Leadership Summit.
Want to hear from the likes of Billie Jean King and Patricia Arquette? DF16 has you covered with the Second Annual Women’s Leadership Summit. Equality and opportunity for all are core to our mission, so we’re proud to be hosting this summit for the second time, where we will tackle topics like workplace equality, leadership equality, and economic equality. The full day of programming will take place on Thursday, October 6th. Don’t miss it!
4. Check out last year’s sessions to get hyped & inspired!
If you were lucky enough to be at last year’s Dreamforce, you know how informative and inspiring the nonprofit and higher ed session were. But even if you weren’t there, the inspiration lives on in the form of video! Browse through last year’s sessions from the comfort of your home — they should be enough to whet your appetite for DF16.
5. Remember to take advantage of the full conference.
We’ll love seeing you everytime you stop by the Salesforce.org Lodge, but remember that if you have a Full Conference pass, it gets you into every session and zone at Dreamforce. So take a look through the full suite of sessions and events that DF16 has to offer, even if they’re not specifically geared towards nonprofits and higher ed. It’s a great opportunity to learn from companies and organizations outside your own sector, and see how they’re innovating with Salesforce. You never know what gems of wisdom you’ll find that could make for an unexpected “aha” moment!
I hope you’re excited, because we certainly are. We can’t wait to see you in just three weeks! In the meantime, follow @SalesforceOrg and @Dreamforce on Twitter, and tag all of your social commentary with #DF16.
