Community Hero Steve Judd

“Throughout my career, I’ve had countless problems solved through the help of others online – when I can help folks, I feel like I’m paying back in some small way.”
– Steve Judd
We are celebrating the one year anniversary of the Power of Us HUB by recognizing 30 community members who have been instrumental in supporting the growing community of nonprofit and higher ed Salesforce users.
Today’s community hero is Steve Judd (@sjudd), Manager, IT and Distance Education at University of New Hampshire where he provides technical support, training, Salesforce administration, and develops web-based applications using Drupal, Coldfusion, HTML, AJAX, and Flex. While Steve is relatively new to Salesforce, he has jumped right into the community and is a top contributor in several groups in the Power of Us HUB including the Volunteers for Salesforce App and System Administrators groups. Steve, THANK YOU for paying it forward!
Who are you (in 250 words or less)?
“As a web technologist with UNH Cooperative Extension, I strive to help educators harness the power of online networks and technology to do their jobs better. I describe myself as ‘a jack of all trades, master of none.’ I enjoy explaining complicated systems and exploring how they can be used in a variety of situations.”
How long have you been working with Salesforce products?
“Less than a year.”
What quick tip would you give someone getting started with Salesforce?
“Get a developer account (even if you’re not a developer), so that you have a playground to explore and tinker with.”
As a thank-you for all Steve has done for the community over the last year, the Foundation is donating $250 to a nonprofit of his choosing.
