Community Hero Ryan Ozimek
“I’m inspired by the organizations I get a chance to see grow with knowledge in our community. Anything I can contribute to that learning process gives me a sense that in some small way, I’m part of a larger social justice movement for our world. To be honest, it’s less about the technology and more about the people.”
– Ryan Ozimek
We are celebrating the one year anniversary of the Power of Us HUB by recognizing 30 community members who have been instrumental in supporting the growing community of nonprofit and higher ed Salesforce users.
Today’s community hero is Ryan Ozimek (@cozimek), CEO of PICnet. When Ryan isn’t busy tending to his duties as an official Salesforce MVP, he can be found answering questions in the HUB, hosting Foundation Office Hours, contributing to the Nonprofit Starter Pack through NPSP code sprints, and spreading the Salesforce gospel at events and conferences around the world. He is consistently a top contributor in the HUB and, for that, we say, Ryan, YOU ROCK!
Who are you (in 250 words or less)?
“I’m passionate about helping organizations use technology to be more effective in pursuing their missions, and it thrills me to see organizations of all size use technology to help move the needle towards a world of social justice. Great potential lives with so many organizations, and I want to do everything I can to help them reach that potential. I’m also very passionate about a good burrito, just in case you were wondering.”
How long have you been working with Salesforce products?
What quick tip would you give for a Sys Admin working with Salesforce?
“Get to know and love the debug log in Salesforce. I know, I know, boring and technical, right? Guess what: you can become the hero in your organization just by being able to read debug logs and to quickly pinpoint problems within your Salesforce ORG. Trust me, the debug log is your friend!”
As a thank-you for all Ryan has done for the community over the last year, the Foundation is donating $250 to a nonprofit of his choosing.
