Community Hero Gorav Seth

By Salesforce.org August 13, 2014

“The community helps ensure that I am always learning, and helps me see the similarities in the issues that users face.”
– Gorav Seth

Gorav Seth Community HeroWe are celebrating the one year anniversary of the Power of Us HUB  by recognizing 30 community members who have been instrumental in supporting the growing community of nonprofit and higher ed Salesforce users.

Today’s community hero is Gorav Seth (@goravseth). Gorav is the Salesforce Platform Manager at Ashoka Innovators for the Public, the largest network of social entrepreneurs worldwide, with nearly 3,000 Ashoka Fellows in 70 countries putting their system changing ideas into practice on a global scale. Gorav has shared his experience in multiple sessions at Dreamforce (including organizing the popular “HUB Answers Live” sessions last year), is consistently at the top of the HUB leader board for number of questions answered, and always has a useful tip or recommendation for other members in the HUB. For all of his community efforts, Gorav was recently renewed as an official salesforce.com MVP. I am all in on #teamGorav. THANK YOU for all you do Gorav!

Who are you (in 250 words or less)?

“I work with teams across Ashoka to maximize the efficiency and productivity of our Salesforce implementation. Like many others, I came to Salesforce while managing the operations of a small nonprofit. When I’m not behind a computer I like to kayak. I have kayaked all 1,000-odd miles of Baja California, and circumnavigated the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas.”

How long have you been working with Salesforce products?

“Since 2007.”

What quick tip would you give someone getting started with Salesforce?

“Join the HUB, go to Dreamforce, and ask lots of questions.”

As a thank-you for all Gorav has done for the community over the last year, the Foundation is donating $250 to a nonprofit of his choice.
