Community Hero Caroline Renard

By Salesforce.org August 7, 2014

“I learned everything that I know about Salesforce from the community, and I want others to have the same opportunity – plus there are always such interesting people to meet.”
– Caroline Renard

We are celebrating the one year anniversary of the Power of Us HUB by recognizing 30 community members who have been instrumental in supporting the growing community of nonprofit and higher ed Salesforce users.

Caroline RenardToday’s community hero is Caroline Renard (@CPRenard), an analytics guru and data problem-solver focused on the arts sector. In addition to being a top contributor in the Power of Us HUB, Caroline is also the co-leader of the Seattle Salesforce Nonprofit User Group. With her Girlforce collaborators, Caroline helped organize the first Salesforce certification study group in the HUB earlier this year and she has shared her experience and learnings in several sessions at Dreamforce.  Caroline became an official Salesforce MVP last Winter.  THANK YOU Caroline for all you have done for the community!

Who are you (in 250 words or less)?

“I’m an arts (large-scale opera and dance) administrator from the UK turned Salesforce implementation partner, User Group Leader and MVP in the Pacific Northwest. Having been frustrated in my previous life by the limitations of legacy database systems, I relish being able to customize Salesforce to fit the needs of my performing and visual arts clients. I particularly love building complex reports, and teaching others how to master Salesforce for themselves.”

How long have you been working with Salesforce products?

“Since 2008.”

What quick tip would you give someone getting started with Salesforce?

“Learn as much as you can from the community about the nonprofit data models and choose carefully – your decision on this will impact everything else you do.”

As a thank-you for all Caroline has done for the community over the last year, the Foundation is donating $250 to a nonprofit of her choosing.
