A Sneak Peek at Dreamforce 2019

By Salesforce.org October 14, 2019

From innovative keynote speakers to inspiring breakout sessions, immersive storytelling experiences to exciting new product demos, this year’s Dreamforce will have something for everyone. With the event right around the corner, we want to give you a sneak peek of what you can look forward to in just a few weeks.

There are some incredible sessions lined up for you from standout Salesforce.org customers – over 200, in fact! On the nonprofit side, you can look forward to timely sessions from Mercy Corps, Greenpeace, First Nations Technology Council, and UNHCR. If you’re coming from our higher education community, you’ll learn from partners such as Georgetown, New England College, Arizona State University, and Cornell. In addition to insightful sessions from Salesforce.org partners, you can also look forward to live product demos, workshops, and tons of new product announcements that you’ll be the first to hear.

Attendees at Dreamforce ‘18

If session teasers aren’t exciting enough for you, how ‘bout a 1920’s theme party? This year’s salesforce.org party will be held in the heart of San Francisco’s Design District. The best part? All ticket proceeds will be donated to GLIDE, a radically inclusive, just and loving community mobilized to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and marginalization. So know that your presence alone will be doing some serious good for the world! Tickets start at just $20 with higher-tiered options at $40 and $100 for VIP All-Access. Get your ticket before they sell out, and be a part of Salesforce.org’s most fun night of the week.

A big theme at this year’s Dreamforce will be the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Need a quick refresher on the SDGs? They’re 17 powerful goals established by the United Nations to combat global poverty, mitigate climate change, and secure a more equal and peaceful future for all. The SDGs have been adopted by 193 countries, all of which have pledged to check off each one by 2030. Think of these as the world’s most critical to-do list.

Throughout Dreamforce, you’ll be hearing about goals like Zero Hunger (SDG 2), Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7), Gender Equality (SDG 5), Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6), and Climate Action (SDG 13). We’ll also be shining a special light on SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), with opportunities for attendees to help advance these goals.

If you’re passionate about Quality Education, visit the Kids Coding Camp in the Trailhead Zone to support education in local public schools. On Tuesday, you can even hear students pitch their solutions to advance the SDGs and vote for your favorite at the Future Trailblazer Challenge.

Curious about how you can support Decent Work and Economic Growth? Sign up for speed networking on Friday during Future Executive Summit, where we’ll provide 400 young adults from the Bay Area with career exposure, network-building opportunities, Salesforce knowledge and skills, and the tools they need for civic and social engagement.

Finally, one of the best parts of EVERY Dreamforce is the Salesforce.org Lodge. That little oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle where you feel like you’re transported to a world far, far away. Or at least, to a makeshift forest in the Westin St. Francis where you can connect with partners, peers, and Salesforce.org staff who will help you expand and revolutionize your organization’s mission. The Lodge is where you’ll get to dive deeply into our products with the experts that design and market them. Get a crash course on managing the nonprofit experience from end-to-end and learn how your educational institution can expedite its transformation into a connected campus.

The immersive Lodge experience doesn’t end at the woodland edge. As a narrative space designed to tell stories in an innovative, technology-centric way, be prepared to be inspired like never before. Without giving too much away, all we can say is that you definitely won’t want to miss a trip (or three) to the Lodge this year.

The Lodge is one of the most popular places every year.
