7 Tips on Having the Best Day Ever
In a perfect world, we’d all wake up jumping for joy each morning, but that’s not always the case. So, we at Salesforce.org have developed a list of some tried and tested tips to help you make the most of your day and see you smiling from Monday through Friday:
Greet the day with a smile
What you do in the first 30 minutes after you wake makes the biggest impact on how you feel throughout your day. Make sure you spend this time doing activities that you really enjoy. If you’re into yoga, try a few sun salutations. Are you a budding chef? Spend some time cooking yourself a healthy breakfast! Or simply try to think of all the good things you’ve got going for you. And smile!
Your mind is a powerful tool! Visualising all the things you would like to happen throughout the day is half the battle. Practice visualisation on your way into work or while having your breakfast in the morning. Identify the things you want to achieve and think of the small steps you’ll need to make to get you there.
Listen to some great music
Music can have a huge influence on the way we feel. Spend some time today listening to your favourite tracks to lift your mood and brighten your day.
Nourish your body
Your body loves good food and nourishment; remember to fuel it with plenty of water and natural foods throughout the day to keep your energy levels high and your good mood alive going long after lunchtime.
We often forget the small things we should be grateful for. But gratitude feels good – studies actually show that five-minute a day gratitude journal can increase your long-term well-being by more than 10 percent. That’s the same impact as doubling your income! Practice gratitude throughout the day and enjoy the benefits long after.
Grab some fresh air
Talk a walk after lunch. The fresh air will help to boost your energy, clear your mind, and have you feeling ready to tackle the rest of the day head on!
Help out others
Helping friends and colleagues is a great way to boost your mood. Seeing that you’ve made a contribution to someone else’s work/life will not only make you feel good but will also strengthen relationships.
So go on, have an awesome day!
