It’s that time again: pull out the brand new 2020 calendar and save the date for Higher Ed Summit 2020 from April 29th to May 1st. Registration for this year’s Higher Ed Summit, the country’s leading Salesforce Higher Ed conference, will open in January.
The 2020 Higher Ed Summit will take place in Indianapolis and will be co-hosted by Indiana University (IU), an industry leader in higher education. Working at both grassroots and organizational levels, IU supports communities through research, teaching, service, and partnerships. Their unique model for community engagement is the inspiration behind this year’s Higher Ed Summit theme: A Brighter Future for All.
The location changes from year to year, but the one thing that remains a constant is having our customers front and center! There are two ways to share your story at Higher Ed Summit 2020.
First is from the stage, where you can share how your institution is leading the industry in innovation. The call for proposals is officially open and we want to hear your inspiring stories! Tell us how your organization is blazing trails in the industry and charting a bold new vision for the future of education. Have a great idea, but not sure where to get started with your presentation submission? No worries! Here is a handy guide to help you optimize your Higher Ed Summit proposal. The deadline is December 6th, so don’t wait to get your submission in!
Second is through the Summit Awards. This will be the 4th year we are hosting the Summit Awards as a forum to recognize and celebrate innovation in the higher education community.
You can nominate your department our institution for one of our five Summit Awards – see below:
Excellence in Student Success – This award will be given to a college or university that is using Salesforce to impact student success in a positive way.
Excellence in Institutional Efficiency – This award will be given to a college or university that is using Salesforce.org Education Cloud to increase operational efficiency in one or more areas of campus, providing a holistic connected campus experience.
Excellence in Innovation – This award will be given to a college or university that is using Salesforce to innovate in one or more areas of the institution (recruiting, student success, advancement, marketing, community engagement, etc).
Community Champion Award – This award is given to an individual in the Salesforce.org community who consistently demonstrates thought leadership, innovation in transparency and inclusive collaboration, and unparalleled dedication to the Salesforce education community.
NEW this year: College and Career Prep Award – This award will be given to an educational institution or K-12 district that is using Salesforce to prepare its students for success in both college and career.
If you still need some inspiration or a little nudge to convince you to nominate your own institution this year, take a look at last year’s outstanding Summit Award winners.
Every day, colleges, universities, and departments are innovating and improving the student journey and we want to hear about them! All winners will be announced at the Summit this Spring. The application period ends on December 6. Some winners will be voted on in the Power of Us Hub, along with two awards selected by Salesforce.org in the early spring.
Although registration won’t open until January, you can sign up now to stay in the loop and be the first to know when registration goes live. With Dreamforce right around the corner, we hope those of you attending both events will get a chance to connect and talk a little Higher Ed Summit in the midst of Dreamforce world!
With no shortage of opportunities to share your big wins, your day-to-day successes, and your bold vision for the future of the industry, don’t miss out on the opportunity to share your story with the greater Salesforce.org education community. We’re thrilled to call the Hoosier State home for this year’s event and we hope you’ll be there with us as we map out the future of innovation in education.
