Advancement, especially fundraising, is taking higher priority across all levels of campus. College and university presidents now report that fundraising is one of their top responsibilities. At Salesforce.org, we strive to provide the most powerful and effective solutions available to help you accomplish your mission. And we believe the best way to foster innovation in the area of Advancement is to offer our community a choice when selecting a solution that meets their needs.
In addition to current Advancement offerings developed on the Salesforce Education Cloud platform by our partner third-party software companies, we are excited to announce that we are offering a limited release of our new gift entry application, built specifically for the needs of Higher Ed: Gift Entry Manager (GEM).
This new tool is built on proven fundraising technology and allows your Advancement team to capture all of the detail and complexity involved in recording gifts. GEM provides you with the flexibility to work in a way that’s unique to your organization, but still do so in an efficient manner. Once you’ve captured your gift information, you can leverage the power and capabilities of the broader Salesforce ecosystem to gather new insights and engage with alumni, donors, and other constituents in new and meaningful ways.
GEM leverages technology used by some of the largest nonprofits in the world to power their fundraising operations. GEM is built on top of HEDA, the widely adopted Higher Education Data Architecture, to create a robust solution that can be leveraged across the entire campus in the way that works best for your school. GEM serves as the foundation for your donor management and fundraising operations. You’ll be able to gather gift and donor information in a new, single streamlined interface. Gift Entry Manager also includes Batch Gift Entry (BGE), which offers a grid interface for high volume, mouse-free data entry, the ability to process large batch files on one page with matching logic to prevent duplicate information, and advanced donation matching and selection. And GEM supports enhanced accounting capabilities so finance and advancement offices can focus on the data most important to their functions.
This is our first release, and we look forward to an ongoing cadence of development and enhancements. Since GEM is a work in progress, we will initially limit the scope of the release. To get more information and to learn how you can be among the first to get access to this exciting new tool, please attend our upcoming Gift Entry Manager launch webinar. We appreciate your interest and look forward to making GEM generally available after an initial round of feedback.
