Education Cloud for K-12 is being built on the K-12 Kit. This open-source architecture will be:

Built on EDA, which leverages the capability to manage students and classrooms and also allows for building apps and other customizations within an open environment for education institutions.
Customized for K-12 schools and districts out of the box, turning shared data into collaborative and actionable insights.
Aligned to the Ed-Fi Data Standard, which provides a set of rules that allow education data systems to easily connect to each other.
